MajorJams is a step sequencer. You build a loop by turning grid squares on, then press play to hear it repeat.

Getting Started

Pick a tab like `Lead`, `Bass`, or `Drums`, then click squares in the grid to place notes or hits.

Press `Play` to hear the loop. Press `Stop` to pause and reset back to the start.

What The Tabs Mean

`Lead`, `Counter`, and `Topline 2` are your melodic hook layers. `Pluck` adds rhythmic stabs, and `Vox` adds expressive chop-like colour. `Bass` handles the main low notes, and `Sub` adds extra low-end weight underneath. `Drums`, `Perc`, and `Perc FX` build groove and ear-candy. `Texture` and `Atmos` add background space. `Pad`, `Harmony`, `Chords`, and `Arp` shape the harmony. `FX` handles transitions.

How The Grid Works

Left to right is time. Top to bottom changes the note or sound lane. In `Simple tap mode`, a square turns on and off. In full mode, extra taps can add `Accent` or `Chance` behavior.

Music Words

`Tempo` is speed. `Key` is the home note. `Scale` is the set of notes used. `Swing` makes the rhythm feel less rigid. `Arp` means arpeggio, where notes are played one after another instead of together.

Saving And Arranging

Use the `Project` panel to save named ideas. Use `Arrange` and `Scene Mode` if you want the song to move through sections like an intro, drop, or outro instead of looping one pattern forever.
